Biketastic
I just bought a second Hand bike on ebay to help me lower my carbon footprint (and my petrol bill...somedays I think a drug habit would be cheaper...)

late nights and long days
Anyone know of any good time management courses? Having stayed up burning the midnight oil (and the 1,2,3 and 4a.m oil!) to finish my uni essay it was up the m4 to pontypridd for an informative day looking at the impact of the state and its role in regeneration and the importance of monitoring and evaluation, something which I profess to have a reasonable grasp of thanks to dialectic dean's great workshop back in December....

your voice your choice
Had a fun meeting this afternoon with the editorial team behind the community newsletter 'Your voice, Your choice'. I think I may have talked the group into submission though, as I have a tendency to ramble on in a similar fashion to henry's cat ("he knows everything about nothing and not so much about that").

Its approachng what feels like sub-zero temperatures here in the office, if only I could lay my hands on a thermometer I'm sure it'd be hometime.
If the internal environment isn't suitably tempered soon I may be forced to resort to some of these protest acts!

busy, busy, busy! Had an interesting day, not too sure about the new cafe staff after seeing the hatchet job one of them did on an unsuspecting baguette...Started a new digital story project with 2 community members this evening and I think we're going to end up with some interesting takes on life!

ok, heres how it went
Today consisted of the following:
4:00am - wake up
4:30am - begin drive to the big smoke (as in London, not some drugs party...)
8:00am - stop for a cup of char in the services at the end (or start) of the m4, half a sandwich and a broken thermos lid later its time to press on. (Why does that service station block access back onto the m4 at night? weird eh? answers on a postcard)
10:30 am - travelled approximately 203 miles in 3.5 hours up to 8am, then 16 miles in 2.5 hours across London, my patience is officially tried...
11:00am - pass St.Pauls cathedral, mental note 'its big', turn car around and begin journey home.
12:00pm - stop for caffeine fix at services, creepy cleaner in gents toilets, avoid being murdered, spot Gruff from the super furry animals and take sneaky paparazzi photo with phone(see below), then depart.
3:30pm - croeso i Abertawe, with lighter pockets after being fleeced at the severn toll bridge :(
4:30pm - meet new friend, play for hours, worn out. here he is, ps. he is a dog

washed out
After completing the treacherous journey this morning, braving the floods and looney drivers who were practically ready to abandon their vehicles because its a bit wet round these parts, I arrived at the aptly named ARC for another days hard slog...However, by lunchtime the whole council network had given up and as a result most of the office were out of action, although I thought they managed to put up a really brave face, in fact they may have overdone the faux enthusiasm because it seemed almost as if they weren't bothered at all!
Back in black (well green actually)...
Happy (albeit slightly belated) New Year! I'm back on the blogging wagon, and I've decided to spruce things up round here. Don't worry, I am still a pirate, I just have to keep a low profile after all the skullduggery I've been up to!
